孙中山《天下为公》题词

      孙中山(1866-1925),名文,字逸仙,广东香山(今中山)人。我国伟大的革命先行者。此《天下为公》横披是孙中山先生在会见上海学联代表、复旦大学学生会会长朱仲华时所题赠。朱仲华(1897-1988)绍兴人,毕业于复旦大学,为“五四”时期上海学生运动的重要骨干之一。晚年,朱仲华先生将孙中山先生手迹《天下爲公》捐献给绍兴文物部门。横披上款落“仲華先生屬”,下款署名“孫文”,钤白文印“孫文之印”一枚。四字布局合理,结体端庄,笔墨厚重,显示了先生的书法功底。(孙小东)

    Dr.Sun Yat-sen(1866-1925),whose given name is Wen,styled Yixian (spelling in Pinyin system) ,born in Xiangshan County (Zhongshan City of today),Guangdong,was the great revolutionary forerunner of our country.
    When interviewing Zhu Zhonghua,a representative of the Students’Union of Shanghai and student of Fudan University,Dr.Sun Yat-sen wrote four characters“天下爲公”of the horizontal scroll and presented it as a gift to him.The name of the recipient, “仲華先生屬”(Recipient Mr.Zhonghua) is written on the right part of the scroll,and that of the donor, “孫文”(Sun Wen),signed on the left part,with“孫文之印”(the Seal of Sun Wen) sealed,these characters being cut below surface.
    The layout of the four characters is reasonable,the form is decorous,and the strokes are good-mannered,showing Dr.Sun Yat-sen’s good skill in calligraphy.
