      此信是秋瑾遗留至今的诸多书信中最为珍贵的手迹之一。1907年7月6日徐锡麟在安徽安庆起义失败并惨遭杀害，秋瑾得知此消息后，悲愤至极。待她从巨大的悲痛中清醒过来后，立即处理好善后事宜，又给浔溪女校的学生徐小淑（1887-1962年）寄去一信，内作一词。文为：“痛同胞之醉梦犹昏，悲祖国之陆沉谁挽？日暮穷途，徒下新亭之泪；残山剩水，谁招志士之魂？不须三尺孤坟，中国已无干净土；好持一杯鲁酒，他年共唱摆仑歌。虽死犹生，牺牲尽我责任；即此永别，风潮取彼头颅。壮志犹虚，雄心未渝，中原回首肠堪断！”字里行间充满了秋瑾对祖国、对民族命运的深切关心，表达了她决心以死报国的赤诚和视死如归的革命气概。国家一级文物。（金燕）

    Written on the eve of Qiu Jin’s execution,this letter is the most precious handwriting in her numerous letters remained to date.Between the lines her deep care is full about her motherland and the destiny of the nation,expressing her determination of sacrificing her life for her country,and her spirit of facing death calmly.
