童钰(1721-1782年),字璞岩,又字二如,号二树、借庵子等。浙江绍兴人。山阴布衣,卖画为生。善山水,用草隶法写兰竹水石,尤工梅,宗扬无咎法。兼工草隶,精篆刻,收藏古玺铜印,诗以咏梅为胜。平生所作不下万本,故有“万幅梅花万首诗”小印。有《二树山人集》、《香雪斋余稿》存世。
此水墨梅花是其晚年代表作,绘于清乾隆戊戌(1778)。图中老梅盘根错节,古朴浑厚;枝头点点繁花疏疏密密,富有生气。作者充分运用了水墨效果,枝干、苔点浓淡相间,白描圈瓣干净利落,衬以花蕊与萼,对比强烈,常在不经意处略加点缀。画面开阔而富变化,能在平淡处见神奇。所题七言长诗,洋洋洒洒,流畅自然,与梅花相呼应,在动静起伏的变化中达到了和谐统一。国家二级文物。(刘侃)
Tong Yu’s Picture of Plum Blossoms

Preserved by the Cultural Relics Administration of Shaoxing City Tong Yu (1721-1782) was from Shaoxing,Zhejiang.The ink and wash painting is a representative work of his later years,drawn in 1778 during the reign of Emperor Qian Long of the Qing Dynasty.The old plum in the picture is with twisting roots and intercrossing branches,being ancient,simple and vigorous.The inscribed long poem with seven charaters to a line is copious and fluent,echoed with the plum blossoms.Thus a harmony is met during the variation of ups and downs.
