    查士标（1615-1698），字二瞻，号梅壑、懒老，安徽休宁人，后寓居江苏扬州。入清不应举，专事书画。家藏多鼎彝及宋、元人真迹，精鉴别。擅画山水，初学倪瓒，后参用吴镇、董其昌法，所作笔墨疏简，风神闲散。
    此五律诗轴效法董其昌，章法疏朗匀称，用笔圆劲秀逸，气息高古，俊逸处近米芾。个别字以草书为之，破除了因结字平稳而带来的板滞之气。如此巨制，写得从容不迫而行气贯通，足见其功力之深。落款“查士标”，钤印二方。国家二级文物。（孙小东）

Cha Shibiao’s Wulü-poem Scroll in the Running Script

  Cha Shibiao (1615-1698) was a native of Xiuning,Anhui.Later,he lived in Yangzhou,Jiangsu.After the Qing Dynasty replaced the Ming,he gave up the opportunity of joining the imperial examination at provincial level,but specialized in calligraphy and painting.
  With high and ancient spirit,this Wulü-poem scroll followed the example of Dong Qichang,a famous calligrapher,with well-distributed characters,whose strokes are round,mighty and graceful.
